Brooklyn West Labs develops and produces narrative films: scripted short films and cinematic scenes with characters and story. We are a Santa Barbara, CA studio, and our founder Jason Gagne is a filmmaker and the founder of Brooklyn West Films.
A narrative film starts with a script. We develop the story and characters, design the look, shoot or generate the shots, then edit, score and mix the film. Some projects use AI-assisted production; for that approach, see narrative AI filmmaking.
